Statement to the 68th UN General Assembly First Committee on Disarmament and International Security

This statement was delivered to delegates attending the 68th UN General Assembly (UNGA) First Committee on Disarmament and International Security. The statement draws attention to countries that have given their views on fully autonomous weapons, in the wake of the  report of the UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions on ‘lethal autonomous robotic weapons’, and expresses support for the prospect of work in the Convention on Conventional Weapons (CCW).
