Statement to the First CCW Group of Governmental Experts (GGE) meeting, 13-17 November

This statement was delivered to delegates at the first Convention on Conventional Weapons (CCW) Group of Governmental Experts (GGE) meeting on lethal autonomous weapons on 15 November 2017. The statement calls for a strong mandate of work and makes clear the urgent need for national legislation and new international law to pre-emptively ban the development, production and use of fully autonomous weapons.
