From UCAVs to LAWS: The Perception and Reality of Unmanned Weapons

April 7 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm UTC+0

Combat drones (UCAVs) are proliferating in the arsenals of militaries around the globe. The 2010s have seen a notable increase in the use of UCAVs, from counter-insurgency to warfare. These weapon systems, paired with artificial intelligence advancements, are making lethal autonomous weapon systems (LAWS) a tangible reality.

The general public should know the risks involved in normalising these new weapons in security and military policy. An informed public can pressure policymakers to put limitations on the use of such weapons and the destructive potential they hold. We need you to be part of the conversation and hope you can join us for this webinar.

Following the panel discussion there will be a Q&A session.

Please see the online event page for how to access the webinar on zoom.

Please note that registration for the event is mandatory.
