The African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, a quasi-judicial body of the African Union entrusted by the African Union Assembly of Heads of State with protection of human rights in Africa, adopted and published Resolution 473 on AI technologies. It is the first Resolution on AI technologies to be adopted by a regional body of the African Union.
